It’s important to us that people living on lower incomes benefit from energy efficiency and feel comfortable at home. That’s why we offer a no-charge energy assessment and potential upgrades to income-qualified homeowners.
If we discover that draft-proofing, insulation or other efficiency options can help make heating & cooling your home substantially more affordable and comfortable, we’ll install the upgrades at no cost to you. We’ll even coordinate the retrofits.
The Province of Nova Scotia and Government of Canada recently announced new funding to help low-income and middle-income Nova Scotians transition away from oil heating, including free heat pumps for income qualified homes.
Moving fully away from oil can be a significant cost, but we are here to help. If you use over 1,000L of oil annually, you may be eligible to receive additional incentives to support transitioning your home from oil heating to highly efficient electric heat pumps.
