NEW GLASGOW – A local charity is working to keep its community heated this winter.
The Pictou County Fuel Fund is a registered charity that provides short-term assistance to struggling residents of Pictou County with heating their homes. They provide oil, pellets, hardwood, and propane to anyone who is in need of fuel, up to a maximum amount of $500.
The charity was formed by the Pictou County Council of Churches in response to the need witnessed in the community by its members.
